How to smith grind
What is a smith grind?
The smith grind uses the back truck to grind on the edge while the front truck hangs near the side of the object which leaves the side of the deck to grind on the edge. It's one of the hardest grind trick there is. You should be able to 50-50 before learning this trick.
How to smith grind?
- Position yourself like an ollie and pop onto the edge or rail like doing a 50-50.
- When your board is reaching the edge, turn at an angle so that your back truck locks to the obstacle and your front truck is at the side of the edge.
- Put your weight at the back lips more to stabilize.
- At the end of the object, make a slight pop at the tail and re-land on the ground.
